For many years, nano-sized MgO has been widely utilized to combat high-temperature corrosion caused by vanadium present in crude and fuel oils. It not only protects gas turbines from vanadium corrosion but also reduces SO3 levels in flue gas and elevates the acid dew point, preventing cold-end corrosion from H2SO4 and minimizing pressure drops across air pre-heaters. Cestoil, a leading specialty chemical company, has developed an innovative product: Nano MgO additives, specifically designed to tackle these challenges in gas turbines.
Cestoil’s Nano MgO additives have been rigorously tested and approved by GE, one of the leading manufacturers of gas turbines worldwide. Our product meets the requirements outlined in Class A of the GEK28150 specification, ensuring that you can rely on our additives for outstanding performance and protection of your gas turbines.
Our Nano MgO additives are formulated using pure nano-sized magnesium oxide particles, providing enhanced protection against vanadium corrosion. The high water tolerance of our additives ensures effective application across various operating conditions, maintaining their efficacy even in high humidity environments.
At Cestoil, we are dedicated to environmental protection. Therefore, we exclusively use pure, environmentally friendly solvents in our Nano MgO additives. By choosing Cestoil’s products, you can safeguard your gas turbines from vanadium corrosion while minimizing your ecological impact.
Don't let vanadium corrosion jeopardize your gas turbines and inflate your maintenance costs. Invest in Cestoil’s Nano MgO additives to ensure the longevity and efficiency of your gas turbines while reducing your environmental footprint. Dosage rates are typically expressed in parts per million (ppm) of additive or liters of fuel per liter of additive, based on the vanadium content of the turbine fuel. Generally, the additive is dosed at three parts of magnesium per one part of vanadium in the fuel (3 Mg : 1 V). This dosage rate is the recommended industry standard.
