The emergence of lubricity concerns initially surfaced in Europe following the adoption of low-sulfur diesel fuel in Sweden. Premature fuel pump failures were detected in newly purchased vehicles with as little as 10,000 km of mileage. Subsequent investigations revealed that the removal of sulfur from fuel via hydrodesulfurization also eliminates the inherently active molecules crucial for providing lubrication between moving metal surfaces.
Cestoil Chemical has been actively engaged in supplying refineries with lubricity improvers for an extended period. We offer both acid and ester variants of lubricity improvers that establish a protective film between interacting surfaces. Our commitment extends beyond product provision as we conduct ongoing research and development to enhance product compatibility and performance.
